Trump attacks ‘Crazy Mueller report’ with swipe at McGahn: ‘Watch out for people that take so-called notes’

President Donald Trump on Friday attacked special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election by taking a swipe at former White House counsel Don McGahn.

“Statements are made about me by certain people in the Crazy Mueller Report, in itself written by 18 Angry Democrat Trump Haters, which are fabricated and totally untrue,” the president ranted on Twitter. “Watch out for people that take so-called ‘notes,’ when the notes never existed until needed.”

Trump’s reference to “notes” was a nod toward a section of the Mueller report in which McGahn told the special counsel that the president scolded him for taking notes during a meeting.

“What-about these notes?” Trump asked, according to McGahn. “Why do you take notes? Lawyers don ‘t take notes. I never had a lawyer who took notes… I’ve had a lot of great lawyers, like Roy Cohn. He did not take notes.”
